For a lady Physical Education Teacher (PET) in a CBSE-affiliated school, the qualifications required depend on the level (Primary, TGT, or PGT) as per CBSE Affiliation Bye-laws and NCTE guidelines. Generally, a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) is the minimum mandatory qualification.

1. Essential Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or its equivalent (e.g., BPE) from a recognized university.
Alternative: A 3-year graduation degree + 1-year B.P.Ed course.
Diploma Option: D.P.Ed (Diploma in Physical Education) awarded by a recognized University/Institution, provided the admission qualification for the diploma was a university degree
2. Qualifications for Specific Levels (Designation)
PRT (Physical Education – Primary): Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Physical Education.
TGT (Physical Education – Secondary): Graduation with Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed).
PGT (Physical Education – Senior Secondary): Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) or equivalent degree.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in teaching in a recognized school is preferred.
